Policy on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

According to the Wordl Association of Medical Editors (WAME) statement, artificial intelligence (AI) tools cannot be cited as authors of an article, as they cannot take responsibility for the work presented. This responsibility can only be taken up by persons.

As indicated by the Committee, authors who use AI tools in any component of their manuscript (text, images, data tables, etc.) must clearly state which AI tool/application they used, how they used it, and in which part of the article. This statement must be included in a section before to the Bibliography.

Of course, the authors/s are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript in which they have used the AI.

Following the example of the Guide of Good Practices of the Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the use of IA will be done as follows in Vancouver format:
