Evaluation and publication process

Authors will receive an acknowledgment of receipt after sending their manuscripts to the journal. Once received, the manuscripts will undergo a blind peer review carried out by 2 external reviewers and in accordance with the protocols and evaluation checklist established by the journal. The reviewing process will take 30-45 days. Later, authors will be informed about the decision taken by editors regarding the suitability of their works for publication. There are three possibilities in this regard:

  • The manuscript will be published without modifications.
  • Minor (slight adjustments to fit the publication norms of the journal) or major (methodological correction) modifications are requested.
  • The manuscript is not suitable for publication.

In the event that any modifications were requested, the manuscript (with the relevant amendments) shall be submitted again by the author and will undergo the mentioned reviewing process one more time. Then, the author will be informed about the suitability of his/her manuscript. The final decision regarding the publishing of the article will be taken by the Editorial Board based on the reviewers’ valuations.

Because Enfermería Cuidándote has a continuous periodicity, accepted manuscripts are published in chronological order according to the date of acceptance, in the Issue of the year concerned.

The evaluation and publication process hasn’t cost for the authors.
